Living a High Performance Lifestyle
In your every day life, you are constantly faced with choices on how to approach a given situation. Most people choose the “just get it done” way, by doing the expected work in as efficient of a manner as possible. There’s nothing wrong with this approach. It gets the job done quickly, freeing you up the time to go about your day until you reach the next task you need to complete. Yet still, some are better at performing these tasks than others…and here’s why…
In fitness and sport-specific training, the measure of success depends on an individual (or team’s) performance during competition. Yet still, less than 1% of individuals competing in sport achieve reach the podium.
What often separates the ones who succeed to the ones who falter, in both sport and life, is that the ones at the top don’t compete to strictly perform, but to do so at the highest level. This is high performance, and its the only way to achieve your biggest goals.
Individuals who strive for high performance don’t just aim to “get things done” They never say “good enough”, and they simply don’t know when to quit. Those who live a high performance lifestyle achieve their goals because THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION.
This doesn’t mean that they don’t fall down on the way. Individuals who recognize what high performance is, know that failure is part of the process, and the only way to overcome that is to learn from your losses, and continue to grow. Other individuals, once met with failure, will simply give up or not be able to see the bigger picture (i.e. the end-goal).
Athletes who compete on a large scale are high performance athletes, and thus they train like one. They are in the gym every single day, perfrecting their craft, and have their eyes set on performing their very best come competition day.
Individuals who succeed in life or business have a similar path — they get better and better every single day in their field, and they CHOOSE to keep improving and push forward. And these are the ones at the top of the pile.
So whether you are a competing athlete, entrepreneur, business-owner, or just looking to get the best out of life — then consider striving for a high performance lifestyle. You will be surprised at the changes your mind and body make that affect your every-day life. Remember…you’re not just settling for what works…you’re striving for high performance.

He is recognized as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), and has obtained his MSc.
